Today I have a quick tutorial for how to get rid of that annoying white border around products when creating them in PowerPoint. It is a super easy fix, but it took me way too long to figure it out, and other tutorials I found out there didn’t work for me.
Before getting started on your product, slide size should be set to 8.5 x 11 inches or 11 x 8.5, depending on the orientation of your product. As you create slides, make sure to drag graphics to the very end of the slide. Then, after your product is created (and before saving as a pdf), click on PRINT. Click on PAPER SIZE.
Other tutorials I found said that there is an option here that says “US Letter, borderless”. As you can see, this was not an option for me. I use PowerPoint on a Mac, so maybe that is the reason!
Instead, click on MANAGE CUSTOM SIZES.
Make sure the paper size is set to 8.5 x 11 inches, or 11 x 8.5 inches, depending on the orientation of your product. Then, set all borders to 0!! Click OK.
You will now see your product go all the way to the edge of the printing area, without any white space.
In the bottom left-hand corner, under “PDF”, click on SAVE AS PDF. Your PowerPoint file will now be saved as a beautiful pdf without any white border!
Hopefully this is helpful for someone! It is not hard but it took me a while to finally figure out!
By the way, the product shown in this post can be found HERE!
